Encouragement From 10 Days Leaders

The Global Day of Prayer will be preceded by 10 days of prayer without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17). Regardless of where you are in the world, your intercession is needed. God tells us that He desires “men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer” (1 Tim. 2:8). We invite you and your congregation to join this movement of God. Here are some opportunities for you to consider:

1. 24/10 Initiatives: It is our belief that local congregations across the world will pray for 24 hours a day for 10 days (see “Download a sample schedule”). Or, you can sign up as an individual to pray during 15-minute intervals on any of the 10 days leading up to the one-day event (see “Sign up online”).

2. Neighborhood Prayer: Assemble with other church members, friends and families to walk through your neighborhood, asking God for the salvations of those who do not know Him.

3. Marketplace Prayer: Assemble with others at your place of work, asking God for the salvation of those with whom you work.

4. Consider joining with other believers in a national fast (2 Chron. 20:3) with the intent of seeking the Lord’s protection for the millions of believers in the world.

Jesus instructs us in Matthew 18:19: “I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.”

Please order, either individually or congregationally, the 10-day prayer guides so that there will be agreement in prayer.

May God bless you richly as you usher in a movement of God unlike the world has ever known!

As we rapidly move closer to this glorious event, please add these prayers to your list:

1. That those God is calling will pray, fast, and agree, believing the Father's promises for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done. Is. 58; Matt. 18:19; Matt. 6:10
2. That we will ALL take the responsibility to gird up (surround) each and every communicator (inclusive of ourselves) to have the ability to translate the Global Day of Prayer so that hearers are able to envision where they personally FIT into their strategic assignments. Neh. 8:2-13; Eph. 1:15-23; Rev. 2:6, 23
3. That we will work together to gain a shared vision for the extended areas of Dallas and that all will bring "unity in the body" as believers lay down their territorial agendas and minister with mercy and compassion for 90 days (and beyond). Eph. 4:3-6, Isaiah 61
